Meet your hosts

Melissa from The Academy of Wide-Hearted Living

Melissa Noble is the founder of The Academy of Wide-Hearted Living.  The Academy offers courses, workshops and retreats, helping people get connected with their creativity so they can use it to make their life better.

With a background in social care and a keen interest in wellbeing, Melissa says that connecting with her creativity changed her life and she would love as many people as possible to experience the joy it brings.

Letting go of the need to get everything 'perfect' and just enjoy the process has been an incredible liberation. Combining creativity with mindfulness and nature practices makes an incredible cocktail!

With over ten years experience of running activity sessions, Melissa is extremely excited about co-leading her first residential retreat. Coming up with the programme has been a delight and she can't wait to share it with everyone.

Roger from the Network of Wellbeing

Roger Higman is the Director of the Network of Wellbeing - which connects people, supports projects and inspires action for the wellbeing of people and the planet. He has almost 40 years' experience of working in the environmental movement, much of it as a campaigner for Friends of the Earth.

Eden Rise is the Network of Wellbeing's retreat centre and Roger knows the place well, which is great because he’ll be leading us on some quiet adventuring.

We'll be exploring the land, connecting with it and ourselves through creativity.

Roger promises that there will be ZERO mansplaining - but he is happy to share his knowledge on grasses, plants and flowers and is very much looking forward to sharing his enthusiasm for the beautiful surroundings.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there a 'sliding scale' of prices?

We want these events to be available to as many people as possible. Money plays a part in that.

Offering the highest amount makes it possible for us to arrange future events.

Offering the mid-range supports the bursary places.

The lower price is there as an option for anyone who needs it.

There are two bursary places available. Please don't be shy about asking. SORRY - TAKEN
